I Recently attended one of the many social circle events  that social circle organise - which happened to be a long weekend staying with a group of 9 initial ‘strangers' in Edinburgh, for the fringe festival.
I Have to say I haven't laughed as much in ages nor have I met a group of more genuinely easy going and fun, interesting people…from the off I was made to feel welcome and part of the group (most were fully paid up members) even though I was the interloper and non member. Too many top moments to mention but one of them has to be Steve taking on the Sting main act at a local show and holding court singing Roxanne with deafening pitch and a hilariously funny and energetic dance routine which had the house in hysterics - a show not to missed at any cost! Will definitely be there again next year!
If you're looking to make new friends, improve your social life and benefit from exciting and new experiences then this is your chance - don't over think it, just do it, you won't regret it.

Mens Wimbledon Final

The Championships, commonly known simply as Wimbledon, is the oldest tennis tournament in the world and is regarded by many as the most prestigious. We went for the day from Manchester and were luky enough to see Jamie Murray on court 2. Add this event to your bucket list!

Wimbledon was a smashing experience! Seeing Jamie Murray play up close and the atmosphere made it a day to remember. Definitely a bucket-list event, even for someone like me who isn't that much into tennis!

Rewind Festival 2023

The biggest 80's music festival in the world. It is a spectacular event, packed full of fun, laughter, great (and terrible!) costumes and friends. The Festival turns the clock back, showcasing musical legends ...

Rewind Festival weekend is not just about who is performing on the main stage. More exciting entertainment includes Disco Inferno which opens up every day at each of the festivals, Silent Disco, funfair rides, kid- zone with entertainment for the little Rewinders, shops & stalls for jewellery, t-shirts, food & drink.

Sunday night concluded with a fantastic firework display. Make sure you join us next year.

Chester Races

Chester is the oldest racecourse still in operation in the world. The racecourse has consistently been awarded the Gold Standard Award. Sun, Pimms, and of course the olives and strawberries. We went into the open paddock as Steve drove, so it was deck chairs and picnic blankets.
Scott came away £80 up. What's not to love?

Our day at Chester Races was pure delight. Sun, drinks, and the adrenaline of potential winnings (didn't end up happening for me LOL). Absolutely fab day.
Great group of people doing great things! Never felt confident of going Chester races on my own so I'm thankful that I got to go with Social Circle.

One Mic, One Stage, One Frog. The world-famous Frog and Bucket, Manchester's number one comedy club in the Northern Quarter Est 1994. On our recent monthly visit we had a guest appearance from Russell Kane He has 4 times been nominated at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, winning the Best Comedy Show award, some of his lines included Tragedy is when I cut my finger. Comedy is when you fall into an open sewer and die. I have a new philosophy. I'm only going to dread one day at a time.
Thursday is Social Circle new Friday.

Trip: Summer Solstice At Stonehenge

Steve drove from Manchester where we experienced Walking in the footsteps of your Neolithic ancestors at Stonehenge – one of the wonders of the world and the best-known prehistoric monument in Europe. We were there for sunset and the infamous summer solstice. Memorable bits: people watching, absorbing the atmosphere. It is one of the very few times in the year that you are allowed to go right up to the stones. They felt solid.
One ticked off the bucket list - we'll do it again next year if anyone is up for it - definitely a unique experience.
With Steve driving it was like having our very own chauffeur, definitely one for 2024.

What our members said:
Stonehenge was on my bucket list, and I couldn't have asked for a better way to experience it. Steve's arrangements made it so hassle-free, so I could focus on enjoying the journey and truly magical atmosphere. Definitely a must-do with the social circle gang!
