There is always a great mix of friendly people on our events so if you are in the mood to try some new activities, then this is the event for you. Our priority is to make sure people have fun and make new friends in a safe friendly environment. Your host will text you in advance to ease any nerves, welcome you and introduce you to other members, as well as being on hand to ensure you have a great time. Flecky Bennett’s The Chorlton Ghost Walk …..It’s hard to imagine you are such a short journey from the City, as the charms of the village embrace you. However don’t let this idyllic area fool you, because it hides some horrible history, strange rituals,and ghostly events.There are many reasons to experience:Flecky Bennett’s The Chorlton Chiller.Firstly Flecky himself, described by Visit Manchester as the Ghost Walker Extraordinaire and with a completely unique style. He will entrance you with his dark humour and passion for his subject.Secondly the Village itselfThe first half of the performance is dedicated to how the Chorltonians entertained themselves, and as we stand in the centre of the green it is hard to believe the documented accounts of its bloody and strange past, with rituals which make “The Wicker Man” seem tame… We then have time for a 30 minute pub/interval inside the amazingly atmospheric Horse & Jockey public house (drinks not included) The second half is dedicated to the darker side of the green, as you follow Flecky through the corpse gate and along the corpse path to listen to some truly haunting documented accounts. We then enter the old police station for a paranormal experiment or two!PART HISTORY…PART THEATRE…PART REAL PARANORMAL INVESTIGATION!(PLEASE NOTE THOSE THAT DONT WANT TO TAKE PART IN THE OUIJA BOARD MAY STAY DOWNSTAIRS IN THE BAR) 2 hours of of scary fun in the company of Flecky!Chorlton is a quaint suburb of Manchester within easy reach of the city centre of Manchester and only a short journey from East & West Didsbury…There are direct buses from Piccadilly Gardens (Stagecoach 85/86) and then it is a short walk to Chorlton Green. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PERFORMANCE TAKES PLACE ON GRASSY AREAS WHICH CAN BE WET & MUDDY, AND THEREFORE APPROPRIATE FOOTWARE IS REQUIRED What our Members say: Going to a music festival was one of my ‘bucket list’ activities to try. Admittedly I had something like Glastonbury in mind but when I saw a local music festival on the calendar I signed up straight away. I had a lot of fun. Thanks for a great time. Julie. I have never been to a murder mystery party, and wasn’t sure whether it was my cup of tea but I was roped into it by other members. It was a fun evening with plenty of laughs.
