By popular request, another in the Cheshire walk series! The Cheshire Plain provides a contrast to walking the upland moors, which have their own attraction but can seem bleak and barren. We've seen the very best (er, most expensive) parts of the county through its hedgerows and fences and hopefully this walk will be more of the same. We will start and finish at the highly regarded Swettenham Arms (http://www.swettenhamarms.co.uk/), just east of Holmes Chapel, walking a loop northwards and passing close by Jodrell Bank and Nut Wood (can you remember who lives there?) and even an opera theatre. The length of the walk is just over 8 miles with no big hills. Please bring trainers to change into for the pub/ride home in case it's muddy. There will be cake and we will get a well deserved meal in the pub afterwards.
