The total length of the walk is about 8 miles (it seems that this is a very popular distance). We're starting slightly earlier because the drive will take us longer. We'll share cars, so please bring trainers to change into for the pub and journey home. It's cold and wet at this time of year, and can be very muddy. Proper boots are strongly suggested, and please don't wear jeans. If it rains you'll be very uncomfortable and cold. Afterwards we shall have a well earned roast in The Ship Inn at Wincle. Kit list: hat, gloves, warm clothes, waterproof jacket and trousers, walking trousers walking boots as may be slippy tea flask.
