AUTUMN EDITION WINEMAKER'S EVENING
5-course dinner inspired by the autumnal flavours of Italy — plus five perfectly paired wines.
Opening the night with Il Fegato dei Poveri - marinated pumpkin brought to life with fresh mint, garlic, apple cider vinegar, honey, and black pepper.
Next is a rich Risotto ai Funghi Porcini, made with wild porcini mushrooms, butter, Parmigiano Reggiano, and freshly shaved truffle over the top.
From there, we move on to a comforting Ragù di Cinghiale - wild boar slow-cooked with Italian herbs and served over soft, creamy polenta.
To reset the palate before our fish course, we will serve a quick Sgroppino Shot - lemon sorbet blended with vodka and Prosecco.
For the main, our chefs are preparing Rana Pescatrice in Salsa di Limone, which is baked monkfish in a lemon and butter sauce with fresh parsley and seasonal garnish.
Finally finishing with a classic Piedmont dessert: Bunet, a dark chocolate and Amaretti pudding topped with caramel sauce and almond crumble.
Mike from Buckingham Schenk will be pouring a hand-picked Italian wine alongside each course and walking us through why each pairing works so well.
