This is a great way to meet new people in Manchester in a friendly and relaxed environment. Be the first to see the finest performances with a warm friendly welcome from fellow members. Here at Social Circle, we take care of organising the tickets so you are sat with a great view and in good company. All you have to do is turn up and order your drinks. Tonight we are seeing: Our Town By Thornton Wilder Love and marriage, birth and death. Seen from a distance they’re just the rhythm of everyday life: but when you’re caught up in the middle and they are happening to you, they are the whole world. As the sun rises on another ordinary day, the townsfolk of Grover’s Corners go about their business: newspapers are delivered; people go to work; gardens are tended to. And a boy and girl fall in love. But as life’s events unfold and a community comes together, one question remains: “do any human beings ever realise life as they live it? Every, every minute?”. Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning small- town epic of human existence remains as theatrically fresh and as topical as ever; it explores what it means to live and the bonds that unite us all. What our members say. I really enjoy theatre and especially musicals but often my friends are not interested. It was great to finally find people who not only didn’t mind me singing along to Rock of Ages, but joined in with me! Paulette. Thank you for arranging for us to see The Play that Goes Wrong. My sides still hurt from laughing. Great company and host, as always. William.
