Enjoy Hazel's magical properties and at the same time help raise some money for the charity at the same time. Good parking by the museum, or tram to Ashton, or train to Guide Bridge, or nearest public transport is 330 bus stopping outside Asda (need any drinks while there?) "Hazel" is a wonderful boat. Built 103 years ago to carry salt, she became a houseboat in 1951 and was recently lovingly restored by craftspeople of the Wooden Canal Boat Society (a registered charity) to provide uplifting holidays on the canals of England. Towed by the motorboat "Forget me Not", she will take you on a wonderful journey through a peaceful land. You will have a crew of WCBS volunteers to navigate the boats. Hazel was featured recently in John Sergent's "Barging Around Britain" TV program.
