Hidden in a Northern Quarter basement, Behind Closed Doors is a speakeasy style cocktail bar. Located on Oldham street, you will need to ring a buzzer to enter the cocktail hotspot.
Founded by former general manager of the Whiskey Jar Nick Parr, Behind Closed Doors has a sexy theme, with vintage pictures of glamour models decorating walls, mismatched mirrors and Persian rugs. The drinks list includes mixes such as Furry Cup (vodka, creme de mure, lemon, egg white and peach) and Wet Dream (tequila, hibiscus, saka, and rose lemonade).
The bar also has a DJ booth constructed from shopping trolleys, along with booths with telephones which can be used to dial for drinks or call other customers. Nick Parr also has plans to create a late-night dessert menu.
