Pies are the ultimate in comfort food, and the success of a pie starts with perfect pastry.
During this session you will be shown the art of pie making including a traditional (or your take on a) Cornish Pasty.
Skills you will Learn:
Salt crust pastry
Short Crust
Flaky pastry
Sweet versus Savoury
This class will concentrate on a classic salt crust and flaky pastry, the do’s and don’ts for pie fillings and how to perfect a pasty. Once you’ve perfected these, there will be no limit to your pie creations – take your creations and your new skills home in time for dinner!
