This springtime forage introduces a delicious selection of our native edible plants, from tender leaves to tasty roots, and some wild mushrooms. The rich sandy soil on the banks of the river Mersey provides the perfect growing conditions for many of our finest edible wild greens.
There will plenty of discussion about how to correctly identify the plants we see, and their poisonous lookalikes. At the end of the foray we will have a chance cook up some of our best finds for sampling.
