We will put trust in our taste buds and neglect the fancy packaging and marketing that goes with whisky in the Whisky Shop's ever-popular Blind Tasting Event.
For those of you who haven’t been to one of these events before let me explain how it works. Firstly, no blindfolds are required. Instead we pour all the whiskies sampled on the night from clear, unmarked bottles with no clues to the age, distillery or type of whiskies we’re trying.
This is a fantastic way of tasting whiskies without any prior expectations or prejudices and usually throws up a few surprises. Again, this is a great way of discovering new whiskies if you’re are just starting out on your whisky tasting adventure or for you experts out there, a good challenge for your palate!
