Come and join us for a weekend stroll and lunch in Oddfellows whilst meeting some new local friends.
This walk starts and ends at the lovely Oddfellows (http://www.oddfellowsmellor.com) in Mellor. We'll walk an 8-9 mile circuit taking in Etherow Country Park and the Cown Edge Way. It's a mixture of terrain - some hills, some woodland, some pastures, but nothing extreme. And then a meal and a pint in the pub to top it all off.
Come and enjoy one of the best events on the calendar - fresh air, unhurried exercise and lots of conversation and laughter. Did I mention there'll be homemade cake too? It's likely to be muddy and it could rain (anyone heard of April showers?), so boots and waterproofs are the order of the day. But please bring shoes/trainers to change into for the pub and journey home. Kit list: hat, gloves, warm clothes, waterproof jacket and trousers, walking trousers walking boots as may be slippy tea flask.
