By the huge docks that once harboured the world’s ocean-going liners are gleaming museums of the modern age and the monumental Media City rising in glass, steel and burnished metal. In the first part of our two part walk, we look in detail at this new city on the old canal.
The tour is led by Ed Glinert, one of the monastery’s official guides and joint founder of New Manchester Walks.
