Rosalie Craig headlines this lively new take on Shakespeare's much-loved comedy. Rosalind has been raised her entire life at the court of her uncle, Duke Frederick. But after meeting and and falling in love with the young Orlando, she is unexpectedly banished by the Duke, she sets about trying to find her new love, who lives in the forest of Arden. In disguise as a boy, Rosalind must find out if his love for her is true... William Shakespeare's vivacious comedy of love and cross-dressing comes to the National Theatre for the first time in over 30 years, with Rosalie Craig (London Road) as Rosalind. The actress follows in the footsteps of such giants as Vanessa Redgrave, Helena Bonham Carter and Helen Mirren by starring as the cross-dressing lover.
