Be part of something bigger and expand your Social Circle here. Treacle Market is a quality Arts, Antiques and Crafts, and Food and Drink Market that takes place on the last Sunday of each month. It held on the cobbles of the historic old market place and Chestergate in Macclesfield.
Bring a basket and stock up on wonderful locally produced beers, juices and delicious provisions. There's art, antiques,vintage homewares, books, yarns, crafts from local makers and textiles. If it's the unusual or different you seek.... Treacle is the perfect place to spend a few hours and meet up with friends, browse the stalls and listen to live music too. But why 'Treacle'? Macclesfield is known as Treacletown, referring to the centuries old accident when a horse drawn wagon overturned, spilling its cargo of Treacle onto the cobbles. The Treacle Market is a chance to find gorgeous things on Macclesfield's streets once again. Just less sticky. Meeting at Manchester Piccadilly Railway Station or meet us there.
