Sale Arts Trail was set up in early 2014 by three local artists Sophie Nixon, Sarah Malone and Jo Lavelle. The concept of Sale Arts Trail was to create a trail around Sale providing the opportunity for the public to visit artist’s studios, quirky and unusual display spaces, gardens, local shops and local cafes all exhibiting and selling the work of professional artists and makers in the Trafford area. The first trail took place in on the weekend of 12th & 13th July 2014 and proved a huge success with a busy opening night at Sale Waterside Arts Centre on the Friday evening and very well attended weekend. All 40 artists involved were placed at participating cafes or open studios that were then mapped out on the trail and included a wide range of skills and disciplines including painting, sculpture, ceramics, jewellery, printmaking, word, textiles, stone and photography. We are delighted that Sale Arts Trail will take place again this year taking place 10th-12th July with the same format as last year with some added extras! So if you are interested in arts and crafts, looking for a unique gift or item for yourself or your home then come and join us as we follow the trail.
