#LOSMICRÓFONOS – Guillem Mont de Palol & Jorge Dutor

Michael Jackson dressed as Jimi Hendrix buys a kilo of Grace Jones to cook some
Britney Spears à Le Chic.

Beyoncé buys such beautiful Tina Turners that Céline Dion would be jealous. Freddie Mercury, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, Kim Basinger, Justin Timberlake, Nicole Kidman stand in front of a picture of Madonna.

Sigourney Weaver? Europe asks.

Los Micrófonos is a head-first dive into popular culture. In a choreography of names, song titles and choruses Jorge Dutor and Guillem Mont de Palol offer the audience a strange landscape of deviations, personal memories and wild associations in which to conjecture, make connections and play.

Dutor and de Palol have worked together since 2008, and have toured their work in Spain, mainland Europe and South America. Dutor is a set designer and performer and studied at Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático (Resad), in Madrid; de Palol is a choreographer, dancer and performer.  They met in Amsterdam, while de Palol was studying at the School for New Dance Development (SNDO). Their artistic interests lie on language, voice and body materalization and the semiotics of music and rhythm.  Their works explore popular culture, humour and creativity.

Cost includes your ticket and all booking fees.
