John Bailey (classical guitar)
John attained an MA in Jazz from Leeds College of Music and has received tuition from Ralph Towner, Wolfgang Muthspiel, Mike Moreno, Mike Walker and other leading jazz musicians. John uses the classical technique and has worked on these pieces from the classical repertoire to aid his own composition and technique. He released his first quartet album to critical acclaim last year. He is currently writing his second album due to be released later this year. He teaches guitar at Liverpool University, various schools around Preston and privately at his home near Lytham.
Tea, coffee anc cake will be available.
Admission is free; there will be a retiring collection for Cathedral music.
