The walk starts at Nelsons Pit in Higher Poynton and goes up into Lyme Park, you get great views from the Cage and then back down to the canal.
One of a series of walks from the Nelson Pit Visitor Centre. This walk visits the estate of Lyme Park where red deer may be spotted alongside the moorland paths. A pair of binoculars would be useful.
Car sharing available. Kit list: hat, gloves, warm clothes, waterproof jacket and trousers, walking trousers walking boots as may be slippy tea flask.
