What can I expect?
Our weekend travelers include a good mix of friendly professionals. Everyone wants to meet new people, so don’t worry about not knowing anyone, we will soon change that!
We will meet in Manchester Airport for breakfast before our flight which gives plenty of opportunities to chat with your fellow travelers and meet your host.
Your host, Heather and the co host Steve, has a wealth of knowledge and bags of experience and enthusiasm to make this a thoroughly enjoyable weekend. Given you will want to meet new people and enjoy the best Galway has to offer, we will make sure socializing is high on the agenda. Want to go your own way? No problem. Heather & the co host Steve can make recommendations and answer any questions. So you can just relax and enjoy an evening sharing stories with your fellow companions.
For the evenings, we will choose restaurants and bars that offer the finest Irish Fayre and will give that true flavor of Galway. Why not try a plate of fresh oysters on the beach? Perhaps a plate of hearty Irish stew whilst listening to a ceilidh band play folk music?
What about the hotel?
As we like to enjoy the craic until the wee hours, we like our beds to be within a few minutes walk of the restaurants, bars and places we will be visiting.
We are staying at the glorious 4* Maldron hotel which is a top rated hotel by guests on trip advisor and is a short walk from the city center. Each room is stylishly decorated to ensure a relaxing and comfortable stay. Rooms offered on a twin shared single-sex basis. Single occupancy rooms can be arranged for a supplement.
