Mr Cooper's offers a multitude of different dining settings under one roof, combining modern touches with the history and heritage of Mr Cooper himself, whose house and famous gardens sat on the site back in 1819. Trees, birdhouses and a gazebo decorate the striking dining room which, with a zesty-green and white colour scheme, ushers the outdoors in.
The restaurant serves daring elegant food, cooked with flair and imagination. Seasonal dishes include starters of pressed smoked Ham hock with crispy pig's cheek, egg and bacon, followed by Cumbrian lamb rump with scorched turnips, cracked wheat and lamb jus. For dessert caramel popcorn tart with roasted rye ice cream and soured cream perfectly compliments the season.
